It was originally a term of endearment, and using it with a stranger seems condescending. Other terms of endearment like "honey" are similar.

It's actually a rude compliment that has a perverted connotation.
The "cheeks" are that part of the face that is below your eyes, but in this context "sweet cheeks" is referring to the glutes/ass of the woman that resemble the cheeks. Definitely something you would not say to a women that you don't really, really know. (You could get slap) 😅✌️

This is a sexually suggestive term, used mainly by men to women. Can either mean the guy finds her attractive and is attempting to flirt, or is complimenting a woman's butt. Hence, "sweet cheeks"
