Peanut Butter Cookie Cups are an easy treat for parties that features that fabulouspeanut butter and chocolate combination in a sweet little cookie cup.
For years, we’ve enjoyed these Peanut Butter Cookie Cups at so many gatherings, especially during the holidays. There are reasons for that. They are easy. And they are delicious. How many peanut butter chocolate treats have you found that are not delicious? Such a great combination. Plus these are in cookie cup form. No wonder the kids grab these by the handfuls.
How to make easy Peanut Butter Cookie Cups
To make these Peanut Butter Cookie Cups begin by making a basic cookie dough out of butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla, flour, salt and baking soda. Use a mini-muffin pan to bake them into the perfect cup shape. A portion of cookie dough is placedinto each mini-muffin cup, then a chocolate peanut butter cup is stuck right in the middle, then they are baked right up.It doesn’t get much easier than that.
These cookie cups are the perfect treat for any special occasion and just like cookies, travel very well. So I’m thinking they would be a most excellent goodie for tailgating and picnics. Most excellent, I say. Don’t you think so too? Plus when it comes to edible gifts for the holidays, wouldn’t these Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Cups be a tasty gift to receive? I know I’d be happy to get a little package of these goodies.

This recipe is definitely going on my list of need to make ASAP! Chocolate and peanut butter are my two favorite things – Heck I wanted to name my blog chocolate and peanut butter but thought that would be a bit much seeing that I’m a dietitian 🙂

These look so wonderful. They would make scrumptious treats for holiday baking, too.

This could be a very dangerous recipe to make in my house 😛 I’m thinking of making some around Christmas and giving them as little edible gifts – how long do you think they’ll keep in a sealed container?
Amy Johnson —
Hmmm … I would say 3-5 days?

Oh god these peanut butter cookie cups look delicious. I definitely would recreate the recipe – but I think they would get devoured almost too quickly. I have NO self control when it comes to chocolate, peanut butter or cookies – so the combination of all three is very dangerous.

Making these to take to Christmas dinner at my daughter’s house. I want to make sure that I use mini peanut butter cups and not the larger sized “miniature” ones.
Can’t wait to try these!!!
Amy Johnson —
I used the mini peanut butter cups. Not sure about the larger sized miniature ones you are referring to? I may need to find some of those and test them out. 😉
Sylvia —
Thank you so much for your quick reply! Reese’s miniatures are the traditional ones that come individually wrapped. The mini’s are smaller and unwrapped. I don’t think these ones have been around all that long, but I do have some. LOL
Amy Johnson —
Oooh … I’ll have to keep an eye out for those. They would be a tasty addition to brownies!

Haven’t you left out the peanut butter?
Amy Johnson —
The peanut butter is in the peanut butter cups.
Pat Matlock —Reply
Sorry but it says ‘peanut butter cookie dough’
Amy Johnson —
It does say that in the copy, Pat! Fixed it. These are made with a basic cookie dough. Obviously I had peanut butter on the brain!

I make these cookies ALL the time and my grown children and their friends and their friends family, love, love, love them!!! I do change one thing though, I use Hersheys Hugs or Kisses rather than the peanut butter cups. I’ve been told by all of the above that the pb cup to cookie ratio is not enough. Having said that, these are the easiest, most forgiving from scratch cookies I have ever made and EVERYONE that I make them for raves about them!!! The end. 🙂
