Is The Copenhagen Card Worth It? YES!
From my experience and in my opinion, yes the Copenhagen Card is definitely worth it.
It’s one of those things that depend on how much you use it. You could get less than what you pay for, or you could get more than what you pay for, depending on how much you use it.
As Copenhagen is expensive, I trialled the 48-hour Copenhagen Card to see if I could save money during my trip to Copenhagen. Below is an outline of what I used my Copenhagen Card for.

So over my 48-hour Copenhagen Card, I got 759 DKK worth of attractions. You’ll also notice that I didn’t include public transport on the table, I also took the bus a few times so I got even more value.
For the 48 hours, I paid 665 DKK so I saved just under 100 DKK, which is equivalent to £11.86 / $14.60 / €13.44. As well as saving money, I got to use public transport for free and had the convenience of the Copenhagen Card.
Another benefit of the Copenhagen Card is it means you don’t have to buy tickets individually, it’s very easy to use and saves a lot of hassle booking things.
One thing I will say is that you have to pack your days with a lot of things to do in order to get your money’s worth. As you can see above, I did quite a lot of things in 48 hours. You can do a lot of things in a short time in Copenhagen, this is why 3 days is enough days in Copenhagen.
But all in all, I would say yes, the Copenhagen Card is worth it. It saves you money and is very convenient.

What Is The Copenhagen Card?
The Copenhagen Card is a tourist pass for visiting Copenhagen. It includes free access to the city’s most popular attractions as well as unlimited free public transport. There are nearly 90 attractions included in the pass. It’s a great way to save money on a trip to Copenhagen.
You get a QR code on the Copenhagen Card app which is what you present to get into the attractions and when on public transport. The app also allows you to browse the possible attractions for which you can use your Copenhagen Card.

How Much Is The Copenhagen Card?
The Copenhagen Card prices vary depending on how long you want the card to be active. You can choose between 24, 48, 72, 96 and 120 hours. You can activate your card at any time, and it remains active for the designated amount of time.
There are also different prices for adults (16+), youth (12-15) and child (3-11) passes. Each paying adult is allowed 2 children (3-11) for free and under 3s are allowed everywhere for free. Below is an overview of the prices of the different Copenhagen Cards.

- Plan your days: Make sure to plan your days with attractions that are close together and work out how you can do as much as you can in the time of your card.
- Take advantage of public transport: Make sure to make use of free public transport. The public transport in Copenhagen is regular and reliable so you can use it to go between attractions.
- Some things are closed on Mondays: Lots of the attractions in Copenhagen are closed on Mondays, make sure to consider this when choosing when to activate your Copenhagen Card. You can still visit Copenhagen Zoo and take a canal tour on Mondays.
- Be Aware of Tivoli Gardens Seasons: Tivoli Gardens closes at certain points throughout the year. As this is one of the main attractions included in the CC, you may miss out. For example, visiting Copenhagen in January will have Tivoli Gardens closed.
- Don’t activate your card too early: If you activate your card before you need to, you will be wasting valuable hours which you have paid for. Only activate your card when you reach Copenhagen Airport to get the train to Copenhagen Central Station for free.
